DOUGLAS PURDY (Janie's father, age 30)

Douglas Purdy was born and raised in Los Angeles. A
graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in
English Literature, Purdy trained with noted acting
teacher Arthur Mendoza at Actors Circle Theatre in
Hollywood, and continues to hone his craft at Lesly Kahn
Studios.  His film and television work includes NBC’s
Medical Investigation, Passions, Kat Plus One, and
numerous independent films, including
Forgiving the
Franklins
, which debuted at Sundance and will be
released in theatres in 2007.  Purdy’s theatre credits
include
The Deep Blue Sea, A Month in the Country, The
Miss Fire Cracker Contest
, Blitzkrieg,  and Plunge (the
latter two which he also produced).  Purdy resides in Los
Angeles with his wife, writer and director Brooke Purdy,
and their 2-year old son Maxwell.
