DEBRA HOPKINS (Dr. Flowers)

Debra Hopkins attended Oakland University (Michigan)
on a full-ride dance scholarship, then went on to
perform in several national dance tours across the U.S.
before beginning her career as an actress. During her
career, her son became seriously ill, and Hopkins left
the entertainment business. After her son’s recovery,
Hopkins returned to acting as well as writing, first with
a starring role in the short film
Passing Darkness (2005).
Her performance in that film won awards for Best
Actress at the Movie Nation Film Festival in Las Vegas in
2005, and Female Action Performer of the Year at The
Action on Film International Film Festival in 2007. In May
2006, Hopkins's reel was chosen to screen at The
Industry Video Showcase at CBS Studios.  Recently,
Hopkins completed a lead role in the feature film
Poker
Run
, which will be released in 2008.  Hopkins’s other
credits include
Karen Sisco, Melrose Place, the TV pilot
Delusions of Grandeur, the shorts film Parrellel Cut and
Parker
, and music videos, commercials, and print
projects.

As a wife and busy mother of two boys, Hopkins’s life is
full.  She is also an accomplished International Health
and Fitness Presenter and Instructor; her clients
include Time-Warner.
